Who is your favorite news anchor/reporter? Why?
I don't have only one. I like Paula Akana and Russell Shimaoka from KITV. Then I like Kim Genaula, Guy Hagi and Keahi Tucker from KGMB, and then I like Angela Keen, Howard Dashefky and Paul Drewes on KHNL.

Soup
Name 3 foods that are currently in your freezer.
Blueberry Waffles, smoke sausages and chicken.

Salad
If you were to have the opportunity to name a new town or city, what would you call it?
I don't know right now, I need to think about it.

Main Course
What will most likely be the next book you read?
I do not read books anymore. It bothers my eyes alot. The only thing I read is the Hawai'i newspaper and magazines.

Dessert
What's the first thing you notice about the opposite gender?
The eyes. Somehow the eyes of a person always attracts me. Hazel eyes are the most appealing to me.

Thursday Thirteen #25

Thirteen Things about Mana: The Life Force

1. Mana is the devine power.
2. And Hawaiians have a keen awareness of this supernatural force running through all things.
3. For it is their natural consciousness to be psychic.
4. And they read signs and omens into elemental phenomena.
5. For them there is nothing that isn’t alive.
6. For everything has mana in some form ………… rocks and plants, mountains, winds and sea.
7. And water in all its form is the symbol for this mystical power called mana ……… water in all it’s changing moods:
8. Wailele: the waterfall ………
9. Ua: the rain ………
10. Uhiwai: the mist ………
11. Kahawai: the gentle stream ………
12. And moana: the mighty ocean.
13. Maka mua: the beginning ………
For they knew the origin of life ……… And they saw that the universe began in motion during Po: the cosmic night of creation ……… And a movement of the sky (lani) began against the earth (honua) and the earth heated like a womb ……… And the night and day became the cosmic parents of earth ………

Friday's Feast #107

Hi gang! It's just me, Ma. My wordpress isn't working and I have no friggin' clue why, so I decided to post Friday's Feast here instead. I will transfer it back to my regular blog as soon as I can get it to work. So bear with me please. Mahalo.

Appetizer
What color is your car?
My car used to be white. It was a 2000 Daewoo Lanos, but I sold it dirt cheap before I moved here to Texas, so right now I have no car. :(

Soup
If you could wake up tomorrow with full training in another occupation and a job in that field, what would it be?
I'd probably choose to be in the Military(retired from it now) as a forensics specialist. Or a computer geek who could work miracles with this damn thing! And know how to design.

Salad
How many times in your life have you had the flu (or something similar)?
OMG! Do you know how old I am? And how far back I would have to remember? Why didn't you ask me this 30 years ago so I wouldn't have to go so far back to remember? (Because you didn't have this blog, stoooopid!) I don't really know cause I did not get sick too often. Maybe 15-20.

Main Course
What is something that has happened to you this week that you didn't expect?
The fact that I'm living in Texas, and liking it. I mean, coming from a totally different environment and all. Hawai'i is suppose to be paradise, but it ain't like it used to be. It's a heavenly place as far as the scenery, the FOOD, the laid back ways, etc. But right now, I think it 's not a place for raising a family. Hey, I'm being totally honest! So don't be saying I'm crazy till you've lived there in this day and age! :-P

Dessert
How old were you when you had your first kiss?
5 minutes old. What? Ain't that the truth? You are just showered with kisses when you are first born. If you're asking romantically, than it would be when I was 12 maybe, when I had my first boyfriend. But it wasn't a real deep passionate thing. It was just puppy love.
